Joint interest billing software

Joint interest billing without the spreadsheet loop.

Vendor invoices come in by email, get coded to the well, and turn into investor statements at month end. One file goes to QuickBooks. Built for independent operators, not accounting departments.

The way it usually works

Invoices come into the office — post, email, a photo from the lease. Someone opens each one and keys it into QuickBooks. Then keys the same invoice again into the JIB system, so the owners can be billed for it. Then, often, into a spreadsheet, to work out something neither program will answer. One invoice, entered three times, and a decimal that can go wrong at every pass.

With JIB Expert

Drop the invoice in. Confirm the coding. Close the month. Export to QuickBooks.

Every report, statement, and export reads from the same approved lines, so nothing is typed twice and the numbers can never disagree.

What it does

Everything between the vendor's invoice and the investor's statement.

Invoices by email

Vendors send to your invoice address. The system receives the email, pulls the attachment, and starts extraction. Drag-and-drop for paper and photos.

Coded once, remembered

Every line is extracted and pre-coded from that vendor's history. Split a line across wells, tag an AFE, approve. Amber means the system guessed; nothing posts without a person.

Statements at month end

Overhead runs from your rates, statements generate for every investor with gross, interest, and share by well, then go out by email and print in one close.

Investors and leases, tied together

Ownership decks by lease with effective dates and well-level overrides. Every deck must total 100%. Investor cards show every lease, well, statement, and document.

Every document, findable

Every invoice, JOA, assignment, and statement is stored and attached to the well, lease, investor, and statement it belongs to.

QuickBooks-ready

Vendor bills at 100% and one AR invoice per investor, mapped through your cost codes. Desktop and Online from the same close.

How it works

Four steps a month. Three of them are automatic.

  1. 1

    Invoice arrives

Email-in or upload. Duplicates caught by file and invoice number. Extracted lines must sum to the total.

  2. 2

    You confirm

One screen: document on the right, coded lines on the left. Approve, next. The only step that needs a person.

  3. 3

    Month closes

Overhead runs, statements preview with math checks, the period locks, email and print batches go out.

  4. 4

    QuickBooks import

Your accountant downloads one file per month and imports it. No re-keying, no back and forth.
